Responsible for developing pricing strategies for all major customer channels and creating and managing contract programs consistent with overall pricing strategies that ensure goal achievement while maximizing

and assuring customer satisfaction; analyze and manage contract compliance on all contracts; provide decision support systems to other departments; establish policies and standards to ensure compliance with

government regulations and monitor customer contracts; provide direction on marketing strategies, national account contract and pricing strategies and systems support.

Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Develop the overall pricing strategy for the Division's accounts; lead, influence and guide staff to ensure individual account strategies, align with the overall divisional strategy.
  • Provide infrastructure for the contract development process including analytical support, administration and the making of pricing decisions for contracts.
  • Support and participate with various sales organizations in contract negotiations for large, complex national and regional opportunities.
  • Provide leadership to maintain an environment that enables managing ongoing customer relationships regarding contract administration and understanding and identifying customer needs and requirements.
  • Communicate a focused vision / direction for the organization and motivate people to believe in that vision / direction.
  • Lead and influence with and without direct authority.
  • Establish and maintain policies and standards to ensure compliance with government regulations and GPO contract compliance including coordinating efforts with internal and external legal counsel and other third parties.
  • Promote adherence to EHS / OEC policies, procedures, rules and regulations; complete all required training programs, assure departmental employees receive EHS / OEC training.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally by any means necessary to support organizational goals.

  • Demonstrating continual improvement in contract and pricing related matters;

  • Budgetary responsibilities

MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree such as a Master's or MBA is desirable
  • Requires 10+ years of experience in roles of progressive responsibility to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.

Candidate / incumbent should possess the following:

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in regulations and standards affecting in-vitro diagnostics and the Division's products.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in contracting and pricing philosophies and pricing policies.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate complex processes.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers and vendors.
  • Ability to establish strategic direction and lead change; ability to influence and lead both with and without direct authority.
  • Ability to confront and resolve conflict and lead efforts to resolve critical situations.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and sound decisions.
  • Ability to summarize and present recommendations and solutions to the Division's senior management team.
