The Product Manager – Government Marketing will take a significant role in the development and execution of best-in-class marketing and tactical plans as well as sales tools utilizing deep marketing insights to drive innovative, breakthrough Marketing campaigns in the Glucose Monitoring market. 

Position Summary:

  • Works collaboratively as part of the US Commercial team to achieve US product line sales and margin by supporting VA/DoD/IHS marketing initiatives and driving execution of sales and marketing plans, tracking actuals vs. target and monitoring the progress of these marketing initiatives  
  • Develops sales tools (literature, brochures, website, and all media), training materials, and field sales and customer communications. Supports field efforts to participate in and conduct local channel meetings that drive customer adoption.  Comprehend marketing efforts and requirements in managing development of promotional media.  Develops sales educational and promotional pieces as appropriate.
  • Builds relationships with key customers, thought leaders, Veterans and Military service organizations to facilitate sales and increase positive visibility and adoption of Abbott products. Works collaboratively with the sales organization to gain a thorough understanding of their needs and constraints.
  • Works with Finance, Marketing Manager, Directors and Regional Managers to provide business analysis and support development of PLAN, Update, and LBEs.  Uses appropriate data to measure effectiveness of a particular marketing initiative. Assists with budget management for ADC product line, to ensure budget is maximized to have the greatest impact.
  • Organizes and facilitates national marketing meetings. Works with a broad array of internal and external groups to assure that marketing goals are achieved. Develops and presents product information and training to sales force and key customers. Creates all brand promotional activities within global brand guidelines. Follows up closely on projects in collaboration with others. Negotiates and prepares contracts for support/service.
  • Provides leadership by representing the customer and driving products to market.  Works closely with Sales and field management to develop and execute product marketing strategies. Manage all US brand promotional activities within corporate and industry guidelines for ethics and compliance
