ABBOTT LABORATORIES QA Specialist III (2nd Shift) Salary in the United States

The QA Specialist provides an independent, unbiased evaluation of the work of others. The results of the Specialist's evaluation is documented and communicated to quality and manufacturing. The Specialist's approval certifies the work to Abbott’s quality system requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Audits the work of others through review of labeling, documentation and lot history records.
• Verifies product meets specifications and provides final quality approval.
• Completes system transactions to allow conforming final assemblies to enter the market based on the results of the audits.
• Documents the non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to specifications through the completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing his or her mark.
• Handles discrepant sub-assemblies, final assemblies per the documented disposition and document activities in the appropriate systems or paperwork.
• Work within a GMP environment and document results per GDP standards.; Holds operations accountable to GMP and GDP requirements.
• Communicates the status of audits and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties.
• Trains new, entry level, and less experienced QA Specialists through on-the-job training, group training, and one-on-one guidance.

Qualifications:

• 3 years in Quality and/or medical device industry
• SAP experience is a plus.
