We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced QA Analyst II within our eScreen Business Unit located in Kansas City, MO. The eScreen Quality Assurance Analyst II is a QA professional who contributes his/her expertise and practice of quality assurance and testing to high performing Agile teams.

POSITION SUMMARY



The QA Analyst II is an individual contributor to both quality control (testing) and quality assurance (process and prevention). This position is also expected to understand and exhibit the importance of adhering to regulations (i.e. SOX, FDA, HIPAA, PCI, etc.) and is responsible for contributing to regulatory compliance.

As an important member of an Agile environment, the QA Analyst II is expected to cultivate, grow, and maintain core principals including, but not limited to, continuous improvement, self-organization, adaptive planning, and value driven development, using methodologies and frameworks such as LEAN, SCRUM, and KANBAN. Additionally, you will possess a growth-mindset, be team-oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to deal with ambiguity; applicants must also demonstrate an aptitude for team communication and collaboration. 

 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Work within team-defined commitment windows to provide value to our customers and clients

• Work with the Scrum or Kanban team to create solutions for stakeholders and clients

• Tests user interfaces, SQL databases, reports, APIs, and data transmissions

•Create tests, including test data, in a variety of testing environments

• Write, modify, and execute basic automation scripts (not record and playback)
•Contribute toward predictable delivery of quality releases
•Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions
•Execute test scripts and resolve script errors
•Drive the adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability
•Analyze and decompose complex software systems form the quality lens looking for improvement to overall robustness, stability, and/or performance.
•Work closely with development teams to drive root cause analysis and feed that knowledge into automated quality processes effectively.
•Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
•Review and evaluate deliverables to ensure they conform to quality standards.
•Exhibit excellent problem solving, thinking, and troubleshooting skills
•Work independently with limited reliance on a more senior team member
•Assist/lead in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the QA team and IT department
•Assist the continued improvement of the test automation suite through direct contribution and collaboration
•Peer review manual test cases
•Apply test methodology, as well as business process and application knowledge, in the design of tests and testing
•Clearly articulate the IT Infrastructure supporting existing and new applications and services. 
•Work with other groups, displaying strong communication and collaboration skills
•Demonstrate an understanding of how applications are used by customers, clients, and internal support
•Follow established processes and procedures pertaining to Scrum/Kanban, software development, quality assurance, and regulations. (i.e. SOX, FDA, QMS, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
•This position will also be required to work nights and weekends as needed to support development efforts and to perform production release validations.
