In this role, you will focus on leading portions of the Global commercial strategy and key market development activities to support the Acceleron pipeline in pulmonary diseases, with a near term focus on Sotatercept in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and future life cycle pulmonary indications.  Reporting to the Global Commercial Head of Pulmonary, you will be able to apply your expertise and understanding of drug development, market insights, and commercialization strategy to optimize the development and plans for commercialization of Sotatercept in the US and Global markets.  You will influence portfolio strategy and optimize prioritized initiatives and will have substantial interaction with essentially all departments within the organization.

What will you be doing? 

  • Working with the team to guide strategy and key insights required to best inform strategic decisions and ensure patient and allied health care professionals are integrated into the global strategy
  • Partnering closely with HCP marketing, market research, market access and patient advocacy teams to ensure optimal customer facing communication
  • Developing and implementing value generating patient facing materials and initiatives specific to allied HCPs the clinical team to prepare for optimal commercial presentation at the various country launches
  • Contributing to education, messaging and communication planning, including nurse, and patient needs working closely with patient advocacy partners at Acceleron and the cmc team
  • Organizing and executing regional market assessments to better inform key commercial questions and become the country expert in prioritized countries
  • Leading digital planning efforts inclusive of CRM buildout, SEO, agency management, executing congress digital initiatives and responsible for digital metrics
  • Partnering within the Pulmonary cross functional team to assist in optimizing the comprehensive phase 3 PAH program, understanding key regional markets to optimize commercial planning strategy, and influencing long term life cycle plans for Sotatercept collaboratively

What are we looking for?

  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in the biopharmaceutical industry which may include new product planning, market research, strategic/global marketing, commercial strategy and/or launch experience
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Prior experience in rare disease preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate both new product planning and commercial positioning in a cross-functional setting
  • Experience having led key advice seeking and/or market development projects; examples include: market assessments, go to market strategy projects, market research initiatives
  • Focus on patient and allied HCP insight mining, execution of patient materials and programs, and digital initiatives such as CRM programs are a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others across all functions and levels within the organization is a must
  • Excellent organizational skills and comfort with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
