What’s in it for you?

Reporting to the Head of Medial Communication & Training, the Associate Director, Medical Information will be responsible for building and managing the Medical Information capability and providing oversight for the provision of scientific and medical information to address unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop Medical Information strategy and plan, in alignment with global medical strategy
  • Develop medical materials related to the Medical Information function, including standard response letters (SRLs), customized responses, and medical frequently asked questions (FAQs)
  • Build and maintain a robust understanding of Acceleron’s product and pipeline as well as therapeutic areas
  • Provide oversight for all activities related to the provision of accurate, scientifically balanced and timely responses to unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
  • Coordinating with global, local /regional Medical Affairs team to ensure medical information responses address priority stakeholder needs
  • Track and report on a regular basis key measures of interest to ensure stakeholder needs are met
  • Partner with pharmacovigilance and local /regional medical team to coordinate timely report and triage of adverse events and product complaints
  • Lead and staff Medical Information booth at medical meetings
  • Develop and maintain currency of all relevant policy and procedural documents and ensure all employees are appropriately trained
  • Manage the Medical Information vendor to ensure quality and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will possess the following capabilities and characteristics:

  • PharmD, PhD, or other advanced training in life sciences
  • Clinical and /or biopharmaceutical experience in the pulmonary hypertension area highly desired
  • 3+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry; previous experience in Medical Information preferred but not required
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented mentality, and ability to collaborate
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Capable of managing shifting priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Working knowledge of US-specific legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to travel for up to 10%
