Position Description

The Commodity Manager through a interactive perspective will deliver a continued lowest total cost of ownership for Sundyne.  This will be executed by individual effort as well as across functional team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops direct and indirect commodity strategies.
• Executes long term agreements
• Performs low cost sourcing initiatives
• Develops year over year savings
• Supports NPD with any new initiatives
• Leading and collaborating with management to address all aspects of commodity management including: procurement support, commodity business plans and strategies, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability
• Leading supply agreement negotiations resulting in achieving favourable terms that mitigates business risks, protects Sundyne, and reduces product cost and inventory
• Managing key suppliers to strengthen relationship while ensuring continuity of supply and reducing business risks
• Evaluating supplier reliability, leads supplier sourcing activities, and develops new supply sources
• Interacts closely with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve complex issues
• Performs Continental purchasing activities

• The engagement of ands working with the Central team from Accudyne will be imperative for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in supply chain, commodities management, and manufacturing
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a team environment
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience is a plus
