The Diabetes Care business of Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD; NYSE: BDX) is the industry pioneer and leader in diabetes injection devices. The Diabetes Care business unit has a 90-year history within BD and is unique in that it focuses on one important disease state which is a threat to world health. BD Diabetes Care has an unequalled reach and connection to diabetic patients and has well-established relationships with key diabetes stakeholders and influencers worldwide. Our injection devices provide 2/3rd of the worldwide insulin injections, serving our 30 million global patient base.

BD Diabetes Care has leveraged deep expertise and advanced technologies to continuously innovate their injection portfolio and to design and pursue the development of an infusion product specifically tailored to the needs of type 2 diabetics. Their products are diligently designed to enable people who are living with diabetes and will benefit from comfortable, effective diabetes care.

It is contemplated that within the coming months, BD will spin off Diabetes Care into a new publicly owned corporation, which will be named embecta (“NewCo”) NewCo will become one of the largest pureplay diabetes company in the world with a portfolio comprised of insulin syringes, pen needs, sharps containment and other consumable diabetes products and accessories and an R&D pipeline designed to meeting the needs of diabetes patients into the future.

JOB SUMMARY

• Manual and/or automated put up of all blister, form/fill/seal, hospital pack and allergist tray products.

• Associate will have a general knowledge of al packaging equipment which will enable safe operation of equipment through breaks, clearing jams, stopping and restarting machine as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Follow all company safety rules, regulations and job safety analysis. Must know lockout procedures as described in the corporate safety standard 13, plant lockout procedure and key interrupt. Fill and operate shelf carton erector and clear minor jams. Responsible for quality of product including but not limited to:

• Discarding obviously defective packages, removing and saving contents;

• Checking packaging for correct count;

• Checking for damage to syringes;

• Checking for correct lot control numbers;

• Inserting brochures as required;

• Palletizing finished product and attaching proper pallet card;

• Operating semi-auto tape machine;

• performing minor duties not requiring mechanic attention

• Good hand-eye coordination and repetitive hand, wrist and arm movements. Keep work area clean.

• Final clean up at end of shift.

• Regular attendance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED required

• No related experience required
