Job Description
Brown Advisory is currently seeking a professional, energetic and self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist for our Baltimore, MD office. This individual will be responsible for reviewing invoices for Brown Advisory and will work closely with the other members of the Accounts Payable team.
Duties/Responsibilities of Position:
The duties of this position include but are not limited to:
• Review all invoices for appropriate coding , documentation and approval prior to payment
• Knowledge of international payment processing
• Process check requests
• Audit and process T&E reports
• Assist in month end closing
• Respond to all vendor inquiries , reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Assist with other projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of A/P experience
• High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Internal/External customer results focused
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
