The Role

The EDI Specialist will report to the Director of Needs Processing while working closely with the Manager of  Configuration as well as Christian Care Ministries IT department. The primary responsibilities of this position is to  maintain Needs Processing’s daily EDI transactions and any troubleshooting related to these daily functions. In  addition to daily responsibilities, the EDI Specialist will be an instrumental consultant for future enhancements  and Projects of the Needs Processing Department and the ministry at large. 

In This Role You Will…

• Maintains and executes daily EDI imports, exports, conversions, encryptions and transfers
• Troubleshoots and resolved technical errors related to EDI functions
• Executes future conversion enhancements  Maintains process documentation on all jobs
• Interfaces between Needs Processing and IT Department
• Advises Needs Processing leadership on the technical aspects of future endeavors
• All other duties as assigned

• Proficient in EDI file format (preferably 834, 835, 837, and 999 ACK files)
• Strong knowledge of Batch Scripts

Education and Experience

• CPI Certification (Preferably LSS Green Belt or Agile/Scrum)
• Minimum of 3 years of EDI experience (preferably Medical)
• Knowledge/application of standard security protocols for electronic data transmissions
• Knowledge of HIPAA law; ability to apply standards of protected health information exchange
