What does an Streets Technician I-III do at companies like CITY OF HIGHLAND VILLAGE?

The City of Highland Village is looking for a Streets Technician I or II to perform street maintenance within our community.  This division is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure found in the City's right of way including the concrete and asphalt streets through temporary, permanent and emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and limited reconstruction.

The Street Maintenance Division is also responsible for approximately 400 miles of paved surface, 2,650 signs, 885 pavement markings, 3,023 linear feet of guard rail, eight school zone flashers, three railroad quiet zones, street Sweeper program, bad weather operations, and ADA compliance.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class B CDL Texas Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
  • Previous experience that demonstrates you  can perform the job duties
  • The ability to earn the Professional Development Certification via the National Highway Institute.
