Curriculum Developer Job Description

 

As a Curriculum Developer at CodeHS, you'll be repsonsible for helping to build high quality computer science curriculum for students as part of our curriculum team. You'll be focused on the teacher side, helping to create materials, resources, lessons plans, alignment to standards and much more. 

Job Responsibilities Include:

Help maintain and improve existing computer science curriculum

* Help to build new courses with curriculum team

* Building teacher resources

* Writing lesson plans

* Creating handouts and activities

* Writing alignments to standards

* Customizing courses for schools, districts and states

* Creating instructional videos

 

Qualifications

* Experience working in the K12 educational system

* Fantastic organizational skills and attention to detail

* A team player, very communicative and collaborative

* Creative and brings positive energy to the office 

* Self-motived and ability to work independently 

* A basic level of programming experience

Note- this is not an engineering role as it is more curriculum focused than engineering focused, but because we are building a computer science curriculum, knowledge of programming is very important. 

Teaching at the high school level is a big bonus, teaching computer science is a big plus.

We do a lot of video chats and have systems in place to help with communication and planning. You should be a proactive communicator. 

In this position you will create and manage curriculum that impacts hundreds of thousands of students and 15,000 classrooms each month.
