What does an Talent Acquisition Manager do at companies like COMMONWEALTH HOTELS?

We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team! As a TA Manager, you will be responsible for finding, recruiting, hiring and retaining talented candidates. You'll be in charge of planning, developing and implementing a new and productive Talent Acquisition strategy for our company.

Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop a sustainable talent acquisition plans and recruitment strategies .
  • Design, plan and execute employer branding activities.
  • Encourage employees to be brand ambassadors.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote referral program and other internal recruitment opportunities.
  • Use HRIS, Recruitment Marketing tools and other systems.
  • Source and find candidates qualified for open positions.
  • Perform analysis of hiring needs and provide employee hiring forecast.
  • Design, plan and execute selection processes (conduct interviews and screening calls, administer psychological tests etc.).
  • Reviews employment applications and background check reports.
  • Find bottlenecks in the recruiting process and develop solutions.
  • Plan procedures for improving the candidate experience.
  • Suggest measures for improving employee retention .
  • Use sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles with approval.
  • Determine recruiting KPIs (i.e. time to fill, cost of acquisition).
  • Create and present KPI reports.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build database/pipeline of candidates.
  • Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume and phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates.
  • Arrange pre-employment testing, background and references screenings. Evaluation and input of our current vendors.
  • Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
  • Create offer letters, maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as needed.
  • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager requirements and qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience as TA Manager or similar HR role
  • In-depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques
  • Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods  (interviews, assignments, psychological test etc.)
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
  • Ability to motivate employees
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Self-started with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Higher education (two- or four-year college degree) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.
  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively “sell” an organization’s value proposition.
  • Must possess excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
