Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for various HR related tasks to ensure that administrative requirements are met and the department operates effectively complying with state and federal laws.
Qualifications and Skills::
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or related fields preferred
Two (2) years experience working in human resources, within health care preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under stress
Strong attention to detail required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; knowledge of HRIS a plus
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
This position does not have supervisory duties
Setup new employee personnel and medical files. Ensure they are audited at least quarterly for compliance.
Follow up with existing employees concerning missing or expiring documents/credentials.
Ensure databases are updated in real time for all active and terminated employees.
Maintain I-9 forms for both active and terminated staff. Update I-9 terminated binder.
Maintain OSHA quizzes and Skill Competency tests for new hires, annually for existing employees.
Run background and reference checks. Verify professional licenses/certifications.
Create employee ID badges.
