 Position Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst is dedicated to the operational support for data management, warehousing, and the extract transfer load (ETL) processes. 

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Data Warehouse Management: Collaborating with adjacent team members and departments, ensure the data warehouse is accurate, updated appropriately, and dynamically services the business needs by integrating disparate data sources.
• Reporting, and Dashboarding: Work with internal teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications to be implemented in a standard report, ad hoc report, or BI dashboard and proactively suggest new view or deliverables to expedite understanding and learning
• Departmental Interface: Act as an advisor to internal and external customers on data management, reporting concepts, and automation processes.

Specific Responsibilities

• Administer the Commercial Operations data warehouse using Pentaho, SQL Server and Tableau
• Partner with IT and the Commercial Sales Analysts to ensure data alignment and accuracy
• Proactively identify areas for improved processes, system enhancements, and operations efficiency
• Maintain a holistic view of all business system processes and users, to understand functional impacts with regards to configuration, process, workflow and reporting
• Identify and research any data discrepancies, escalating issues to other team members when necessary
• Additional tasks as required by supervision or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; computer or management information systems concentration preferred
• Desire to learn technology; exposure to relational database management systems, ETL, Python, BI Applications (Tableau) or SQL
• Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in a team and build effective relationships
• Self-starter, with strong initiative
