The Role:

As the Head of People and Culture, you will be part of the leadership team and report directly to the CEO. You will work closely with all teams and at all levels to improve talent development, performance, and feedback across the organization. You will also help empower employees to be as effective and impactful as possible.

On any given day, you will design new, scalable programs and frameworks, advising organizations on how to develop a culture of feedback, and iterating on how we can improve our efficiency as a team. As the Head of People & Culture you should feel proud to be apart of all the key moments of an employee's life cycle. 

Responsibilities:

  • Organizational Assessment & Design: Educate, advise, and influence Oden’s executive team and managers on organizational design, organizational development, competency models, leadership development, employee engagement and retention, performance criteria and measurement, succession planning, talent reviews, and change management
  • Learning and Development: Create learning and development programs to prepare employees for more significant responsibilities as the company grows and scales
  • Culture and Employee Experience: Define and drive a culture that embodies Oden’s values that reward, promote and encourage high performance throughout the organization. Ensure cultural consistency as Oden scales, and set up infrastructure to manage through change and maintain the level of trust and transparency across levels and functions that exist today
  • Talent: Optimize the team and process for recruiting, including team structure, recruiting KPIs and their continuous improvement to drive the growth strategy
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage a competitive, contemporary compensation program by completing regular market analysis, designing pay structures, conducting cost analyses and effectively implementing improvements
  • Strategic Alignment: Effectively communicate alignment between HR programs and support for the organization's mission and strategic vision. Secure executive sponsorship and support for HR initiatives, new programs, operational efficiencies, and regulatory changes in HR practice
  • Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the HR function and be accountable for success across all human resource disciplines. Inspire the HR team, driving passion into every part of the workflow
  • Compliance: Enhances and/or develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve our overall operation and effectiveness. Understand HR policies, programs, laws, and issues and implement systems to ensure regulatory compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in People Operations / HR role, with recent relevant experience, preferably in a similar workforce industry. 5+ years of managerial experience preferred.
  • Experience at a Series A stage company or managed growth around 50-100-200 employees
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate, influence, and work well with team members at all levels
  • Experience in developing creative recruiting strategies and being strategic to identify and attract top-notch talent in a highly competitive market
  • Experience creating an HR Roadmap and designing People Ops strategy in line with company goals and strategy
  • Strong communicator with the ability to provide both strategic foresight and feedback. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law and compliance, compensation, benefits, organizational development, employee relations, and training
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with a knack for accuracy and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and critical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A solutions-oriented mindset when faced with challenges and in addressing roadblocks
  • High social and emotional intelligence - you truly enjoy mentoring team members and cultivating strong relationships with all types of people
  • Experience establishing relationships as a trusted advisor with the highest degree of integrity; exercises confidentiality and good judgment in complex and sensitive situations
  • Flexible leader - you can operate at a highly strategic level, but can also perform all tactical HR-related duties for the company
