The Intermediary Marketing Director defines trade marketing success metrics and ensures strategies align with the organization's objectives. Directs marketing efforts and programs to support distributors, wholesalers, and retailers market and sell an organization's products. Being an Intermediary Marketing Director develops processes to educate and train partners about product uses and benefits and ensure effective communication with end-users. Researches industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to develop targeted sales promotions or discount programs. In addition, Intermediary Marketing Director maintains collaborative partner relations to ensure products are available, well-promoted, and properly displayed to drive brand awareness and sales opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Intermediary Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
