Our school system has a rich heritage dating back to 1875. Two-thirds of our population lives in Warren. The district maintains seven facilities and has 330 employees. Center Line Public Schools is on the cutting edge of educational innovation and student workforce preparedness, opening our high school career academies in fall of 2016. The district's Strategic Planning Goal states that all students who graduate from Center Line High School will exit with an industry-recognized certification and/or college credit. Students begin their journey in the Ninth Grade Academy and explore their strengths and interests through career cruising, surveys and inventories such as Xello, and field experiences. As sophomores, students choose which academy best suits them-the Academy of Industry, Technology & Innovation (ITI) or the Academy of Health & Human Services (HHS). ITI Pathways include Engineering Technology; Innovative Art & Design; Business, Commerce & Entrepreneurship; and Digital Design & Communication. HHS pathways include Health & Wellness, First Responders, Law & Justice, and Public Service. Through the development of small learning communities centered around these two academies, our students are exposed to a multitude of careers, industry skills, and potential employers through classroom speakers, site visits, job shadowing, and internships. We also offer AP courses/dual enrollment/Early College and participate in the Southwest Macomb Technical Education Consortium that allows students choose from a host of CTE courses.
