Job Description Job Description Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities Responsibilities: - Create conceptual CAD assemblies - Participate in project ideation meetings - Provide timely updates for drawings and workload - Fully design mechanical assembly with all mechanical components and field electrical devices - Create detailed BOM’s using Inventor and Excel - Assist in quoting process if asked - Periodically oversee mechanical build of project - Responsible for equipment mechanically running as designed during startup, testing, FAT and before shipment. - Support of legacy customers with service inquiries beyond purchasing’s expertise Weekly - Participate in weekly manufacturing/production meetings to ensure projects are on schedule and steps have been taken to help purchasing and production meet deadlines - Manage mechanical design, concept design and quoting to ensure orders are being taken care of in a timely and organized fashion – sales and production can provide input Daily
