The Greenlawn Fire Department serves and protects approximately 18,000 people in a 7 square mile residential and commercial area with two fire stations, two Class-A Pumpers, a 100' Tower Ladder, a Rescue Pumper, a Rescue Truck, a Brush Truck, and three ALS Ambulances. Our Chief is Scott Demarest leading 125 active Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians responding who responded to over 1,800 alarms in 2006. The organization is actually made up of the Greenlawn Fire District, which is a tax-payer-based entity governed by publically elected Fire Commissioners, and the Greenlawn Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., the organization of men and women serving as firefighters and rescue personnel.
