Heart for Lebanon's holistic ministry views every person through God's eyes as a beloved child created to live in a God honoring community. Thus we minister to every dimension of human need, we seek to bring wholeness to individuals, families, communities, and nations. Holistic ministry to H4L means we value every person as a unique and marvelous creation, bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, thus giving every person the right for an eternity with Him. Because of the Holy Spirit's power to make all things new, our holistic ministry takes a transformational perspective seeing every person in terms of their potential rather than their current circumstances. Heart for Lebanon carries out this holistic approach to ministry with two initiatives: Relief and Community Care and Children at Risk. Both initiatives are designed to build trust with people in order to have conversations and ultimately share the love of Jesus Christ while serving individuals, families and communities. It is through these initiatives that our holistic approach process continues in the form of Bible Studies for men, women and families. Heart for Lebanon deepens relationships by making home visits where beneficiaries will ask for a Bible so that they can read and learn about "H4L's" God. One-on-one follow-up with interested people is done on a consistent basis. Bibles and Christian literature are not "hidden" in the food or hygiene packages, or in backpacks given to children. However Bibles, Bible sticks and literature are available to individuals, families, and communities we serve to read or listen to at their own pace. In the early years Heart for Lebanon had very few people attending Bible studies, but today trust is building and with more and more people attending our Bible study program, including Muslims who are open to learn more about Jesus Christ, many are coming to faith. We have never witnessed a time in history where there is such openness to the Gospel.
