Good Grapes Make Good Wine at Helwig Winery! Helwig Winery owns 90 acres of grapes in Northern California in 4 vineyards located in Amador County, El Dorado County and Solano County. Additionally, we purchase some grapes from premier Amador vineyards including Cooper Vineyard and Fox Creek Vineyard. To make sure we have the best possible grape supply we rely on expert vineyard management partners Lauzere Vineyard Services and Lanza Vineyards, Inc. Carol Laubach from Lauzere started work on our grapes in Amador County years before we opened Helwig Winery to the public.
