Lightstyle of America is the new website for a company that has been around for nearly 40 years. Our four stores are located in Kansas and Florida: we are Rensen House of Lights in Lenexa, Kansas, and Lightstyle in Orlando (two locations) and Tampa. In 1973, Tom Rensenhouse opened his first lighting showroom in Kansas City, Kansas. From the beginning, Tom started selling what people wanted to buy, not what the industry wanted to sell. In the early 70s, leading-edge, energy-saving products were featured in the mix. Ceiling fans, residential fluorescent lighting, and a wide array of forward-thinking items helped homeowners save energy and save on the newest lighting styles at "everyday" low prices. For customers who were building a new home, a specially trained staff of decorators worked with the home builder and home buyer to create an entire household of beautiful, energy-saving lighting effects that set the standards. More recently, three locations were added to the Rensen House family: Lightstyle of Orlando (two stores) and Lightstyle of Tampa (formerly World of Lighting). Together, they make up the new Lightstyle of America, with the same goal of offering forward-thinking lighting products at reasonable prices.
