Oswego- The Oswego County Autism Task Force (OCATF) continues to serve the community with a mission to enhance the lives of those touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder in Oswego County . As part of the mission this year for the first time, 2010 graduates in Oswego County were the first of many recipients to receive scholarship monies awarded to them by OCATF for social and academic achievements. The three students receiving scholarship awards in the amount of $500.00 each are; Marina Corieri from Paul V. Moore Central Square High School, Michael Loomis from Fulton G.Ray Bodley High School, and Tony Roffo from Phoenix John C. Birdlebough High School. All three students were chosen by an OCTAF committee recognizing their academic efforts and successes. "We are honored to have theopportunity and resources to award scholarships to these three outstanding students and are proud to be able to support their continuing education" noted OCTAF Chair, Julie Chetney. Pictured are OCATF Co-Chair Tammy Thompson presenting a scholarship to Graduating Senior Tony Roffo. Below is recent graduate and scholarship winner Marina Corieri from Paul V. Moore Central Square High School. Marina is now enrolled at Cayuga Community College. She reports that she is really enjoying college life and has even joined the Drama Club!
