Star Sales is a leading national distributor of fasteners, power tools and construction supplies. Founded in 1922, by Harry Star, it originated as a neighborhood hardware store in downtown Boston. During this time, Star Sales put an emphasis on quality and service which continues to be the forefront of our success. In 1978, Harry's son, George Star, acquired the business and moved it to our current corporate headquarters, a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Woburn, Massachusetts. Located at the major highway exchanges of Route 95 and Interstate 93, Star Sales location facilitates our ability to continue to provide its neighborhood level of service to all of New England and the regional northeast. This expansion allowed Star Sales to increase its inventory lines in order to provide a broader selection of drywall and power tool products to our customers. During this period, George developed strong relations with factories in Taiwan and began importing drywall screws and fasteners. Star Sales quickly became a dominant supplier in the East Coast market. Now with a second location, in Baltimore, MD, we continue to grow and prosper.
