The Metiss Group has helped create nothing short of an evolution in my company. That in a nutshell is what Cyndi and John Gave have done and continue to do for our business. They bring not only a new spectrum of tools to make sure we put the right people in the right positions, they bring an entire new way of thinking about growing our business through and with our employees. In the year 2000, I was dealing with a torrent of employee issues- high turnover, hiring the wrong people, having the right kind of employee but in the wrong job. It was all costing me a lot of money, not to mention creating friction in the departments. The Gave's expertise and professionalism brought us strategic and tactical insights which have improved a range of critical needs, ranging from skills and personality assessments to building cohesiveness and effectiveness among our departments. The Metiss Group has become a key strategic partner for the company. For me as CEO and President, they have helped me to slow-down, look at my 'blind spots' and learn benchmarking tools that I can use to hold employees accountable. But they don't stop there. They go full circle with our employees which results in creating company evangelists who are eager to build out their skills and thereby grow their own success and that of our company. As proof of their expertise, I will confess when we initially started working with Cyndi and John I didn't always follow their consult just out of feeling desperate to fill an open position right away. But whenever they advised us against hiring a particular individual for a specific post and we did anyway it always turned out to be a big, and costly, mistake. Our literal bottom line says it all; five years ago we were a $4-6 million dollar company. Now that we are working with The Metiss Group, we are a $40 million dollar company and looking at major growth for the foreseeable future. The Metiss Group has helped us build a company that can go up against any other firm in our sector. They have become and will ...
