The 5-day event features rapid-fire presentations from world renowned vascular specialists with emphasis on the latest advances, changing concepts in diagnosis and management, pressing controversies and new techniques. VEITHsymposium is sponsored and CME accredited by the Cleveland Clinic. VEITHsymposium, now in its 46th year, was the first vascular surgery organization to bring together at one site radiologists, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and vascular medicine specialists with vascular surgeons to exchange information and scientific innovations in a collegial environment. This allows members of each specialty to profit from learning the unique skills and approaches of other specialties, thereby improving their ability to care for vascular patients. VEITHsymposium recognizes the importance and contributions of other specialties to the care of vascular diseases and intends to make the meeting more multi-specialty than it already is (25% of speakers are currently from specialties other than vascular surgery). To that end, VEITHsymposium will add more experts in other specialties (interventional cardiology, interventional radiology and vascular medicine) to its leadership team and increase their involvement in program development.
