As we know, philanthropic deeds come in all different shapes and sized - charitable giving, volunteering, and of course the great work of the non-profits themselves." WNC Bridge Foundation has also heard from many of the non-profits receiving Impact Grant funding. "We are thrilled about this wonderful opportunity to increase our support of Kindergarten Readiness initiatives in Henderson County," said Denise Cumbee Long, United Way of Henderson County's Executive Director. "This grant is a part of our commitment to raising every dollar we can in support of the important work we are doing with our partners in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, Health and Basic Needs/Crisis Services. We know that children who are prepared before they get to their first day of Kindergarten are more likely to succeed in school and beyond. This grant will help us grow the amazing work that is already happening in our community in this critical area." WNC Bridge Foundation will have an update on when its next Impact Grant cycle will open in January 2020.
