The Aerial Lineman III performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks. Constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Being an Aerial Lineman III follows all safety regulations and procedures. Installs wire and cable. In addition, Aerial Lineman III work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being an Aerial Lineman III works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Working as an Aerial Lineman III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
