Job Description for Clinical Informatics Senior Manager
Clinical Informatics Senior Manager manages the implementation, maintenance, and analysis of data from clinical informatics systems. Administers the implementation of electronic health record (EHR) systems, bed management systems, computerized physician order entry systems, or any other relevant health information systems. Being a Clinical Informatics Senior Manager reviews and synthesizes analysis of data produced by these systems to identify trends and areas for improvement and to ensure systems are functioning properly. Evaluates and establishes initiatives to improve systems or integrate new systems. Additionally, Clinical Informatics Senior Manager researches and stays up-to-date on new clinical informatics trends and technology. Requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Informatics Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
