About the Role:

The Digital Communications Specialist coordinates and participates in 10x Genomics digital communication strategy and execution activities in support of the company’s social media platform presence and 3rd party media ad placements.  They will also support the department by providing program assistance for Social Media, Webinars, Paid Advertising to achieve business goals.

What you will be doing:

• Coordinates, updates, and maintains content for social media channels and paid search channels
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates all content for the 10x Genomics social media channel under general direction and within established standards and guidelines.
• Ensures adherence to best practices, policies, and procedures related to social media and paid media communication programs; ensures consistency with 10x Genomics design and content standards.
• Ensures that digital communication content is current, accurate, and posted or removed in a timely manner.
• Analyzes and develops assessment reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the social media channel
• Analyzes customer feedback from the social media channel; coordinates response and remediation to customer feedback and complaints.
• Researches, recommends, and implements requests to establish a presence on emerging social media platforms.
• Maintain information databases (i.e. 10x Genomics events), confirming needed information gets posted on website and other required channels
• Monitor assets to ensure appropriate versions are published across website and other channels or systems
• Pull and compile needed data for ongoing reports, complete annual competitive analysis, and conduct ad hoc research of competitive marketing practicesAssist with budget tracking including POs and invoicing.
• Support senior department management, as needed including converting Powerpoint presentations to updated templates, proofreading, assisting with quarterly obsolescence process, taking meeting minutes and setting up documentation and reference materials.

To be successful in this role, you must have: 

• BA/BS in marketing communications or a related field with a  minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.  Experience in business to business or biotech industry, a plus
• General understanding of digital marketing, creative development (design, production, development), and a user of social media
• Highly organized and responsive, with strong attention to detail and follow-up.  Ability to organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple projects
• Able to manage shifting priorities and maintain composure during tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via written documents
• Outgoing, self-starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint and Google Suite. Experience with a project management system and digital asset management system
