About the role

Software is at the core of our products, enabling researchers to progress science forward and reach experimental conclusions faster and easier. We're seeking a Product Manager, Software to build products that advance biology to improve human health.

You'll conduct research to deeply understand customer workflows and needs, assess the business impact and guide the prioritization across an array of exciting possibilities, plan out the roadmap and releases, and work with designers and engineers to build the product.

What you will be doing

• Product management for our upcoming software products.
• Develop customer/product requirements, conducting independent research, and evaluating trade-offs.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams (software engineering, computational biology, product design, and QA), leveraging strong leadership, planning, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Communicate problems and solutions clearly to all levels and roles across the company.
• Ensure we deliver impactful, well-designed products that customers love.
• Analyze data to assess business impact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
• 1 years of product and project management experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience shipping software products.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, balance short term and long term trade-offs, and efficiently meet timelines; focus on execution and ability to drive work to completion.
• Ability to understand, empathize, and communicate with customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Design sense and ability to understand and empathize with other mindsets.
• Structured and analytic thought process; experience translating data into actions (ideally have an understanding of SQL).
