Finance Manager needed for the Financial Operations practice in a rapidly-growing local consulting firm.  Applicant should be experienced in providing premier client service, able to effectively manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, and manage a high performing team who provides a superior work product.

Our clients utilize our team as an extension of their own, and look for us to deliver executive decision support, forecasting, reporting and analysis. The 9Gauge Finance and Business Intelligence team leverages proprietary methodologies and collective intelligence to produce high quality deliverables in three areas:

• Reporting & Tools
• Data Analysis
• Projections & Models

The Finance Manager will engage directly with C-level executives on the finance needs of their business.  You will be responsible for annual operating plans for clients, manage and develop a team of expert financial analysts who work with clients to perform requirements-gathering, set schedules, build project plans, and produce and hand-off deliverables.  Projects may include financial reporting system environment design and implementation, operational data transformation and reporting, and raw data analysis to provide new business insight.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following:

• Leadership skills and the ability to work with client personnel at all levels within an organization, including C-level executives;
• Experience leading and developing a team;
• Expert Excel knowledge with a skill set focused on modeling, reporting, and data analysis;
• Experience with FP&A, financial statement analysis, including budgeting and forecasting;
• Experience in database use and/or design is highly desired (including Essbase, SQL, and MySQL);
• Adaptive Insights experience a plus;
• Self-motivation, maturity, and versatility;
• Ability to work proactively, solve problems and make decisions with minimal supervision;
• Resourcefulness with a “can-do” results-oriented attitude to challenges and problem solving;
• MBA preferred;
• Desire to work as a consultant; and
• 5-10 years of progressive finance/business analysis experience, 2+ years in management required.

The position will report directly to the Partner.  Excellent communication and presentation skills required, as well as flexibility to work on multiple demanding projects simultaneously, ability to work independently, and to manage analysts. Can-do, hands-on attitude required.
