The Compliance Analyst will help develop and mature the ethics and compliance program across the Club. S/he will assist in analyzing and evaluating various compliance risk areas and provide support in the determination of ways to monitor and evaluate controls. The incumbent will work closely across departments and internal teams. The position reports to the Manager, Ethics and Compliance.
Essential Functions
Collaboratively engage with the various business units to analyze process and controls to identify and assess inherent risk, efficacy of controls and compliance opportunities.
Assist with developing and implementing means for centralized compliance monitoring across the Club..
Compile relevant data (key risk/key performance indicators) for management review. Create daily, weekly and monthly reporting of key indicators.
Support the review of new products, services, and markets for additional risks related to these risks and work with business lines to identify mitigating controls.
Assist with linking policy, operating procedures, controls, monitoring, and reporting with the goal of improving operations, compliance policies, and risk management.
Assist in the identification of trends consistent with potential risk or compliance issues impacting the Club. Advise on tools and solutions to facilitate risk management and compliance and develop and maintain comprehensive records and reports of associated activities.
Knowledge and Skills
Data analysis; able to manage large data sets and create meaningful reports for stakeholders
Experience with audits or other internal controls/quality improvement measures
Experience drafting materials for organizational management (i.e. reporting requirements, checklists, procedure manuals, etc.)
Analytical skills inclusive of statistical analysis, risk analysis, reasoning, and problem solving
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships and inspire trust and confidence.
Excellent organizational skills and project management skills
Ability to understand/handle ethical and compliance issues with accuracy
Demonstrated ability to identify compliance concerns, escalate as appropriate, and provide suggestions for resolution.
Works well in an interdependent team
Strong attention to detail
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business or Technical Field
2-4 years of experience in business analytics, risk management, internal audit, or related field.
Project management or business conversion experience is a plus
Advanced Excel skills (required), experience with data analysis tools (i.e. Tableau and SQL, etc.) is a plus
