A3 Smart Home is looking for Mobile Patrol Officers to join our team! We have multiple shift positions open with opportunities for overtime!  

Mobile Patrol Officer cover the following areas:   

  • the 51 to the Beeline Highway  
  • Desert Mountain in North Scottsdale to Ahwatukee Foothills   

The Mobile Patrol Officer reports directly to Patrol Division Supervisor. The Mobile Patrol Officer is to provide patrol services in a professional and proficient manner at all times to all customers and those residents that live in communities

REQUIRED DUTIES   

  • Alarm Verification - promptly respond to alarms in your designated area prompted by our onsite monitoring facility  
  • Vacation Service - check homes and provide pre-authorized requested service for a period when the client is away from home  
  • Patrol Accounts - check accounts daily/nightly as contracted with customers  
  • Maintain regular records and effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, etc.  
  • Safe and courteous operation of the designated patrol vehicle observing all state and municipal traffic laws; all traffic rules specified by the bylaws of the any community which you may enter; and all traffic and vehicle operation rules of Safeguard Security & Communications, Inc.;  
  • Proper maintenance of the designated patrol vehicle, e.g. routine, scheduled, preventive or corrective maintenance, vacuuming, car washes, etc.  
  • Responding to burglar alarms at businesses and residences while following all prescribed procedures and instructions  
  • Completion of daily assigned tasks, e.g. red-tag checks, interior checks, initial interior checks, spot checks, courtesy patrols, etc.  
  • Completion, without exception, of unique duties as assigned for your designated beat and shift  
  • Keeping the Patrol Division Supervisor informed of all problems, unique situations, etc. that occur on your shift  
  • Entering all pertinent and necessary information into Silvertrac  
  • Operation of KNOX KeySecure Boxes  
  • Proper preparation of Incident reports to include content, numbering and logging  
  • Proper use, completion and submission of all forms associated with patrol activities and/or duties  
  • Assisting the Patrol Division Supervisors and/or Patrol Division Operations Supervisor with coverage of open shifts within the Division   

  

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Must be at least 21 years old  
  • Must obtain a valid and current Arizona Security Card Certification (Guard Card)  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (both written and oral)  
  • Must have a phone (home or cell)  
  • Must have a friendly demeanor and great customer service skills
       

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:    

  • Acceptable eyesight to include the ability to drive during day, twilight or darkness even with inclement weather 
  • Ability to work or drive 12 or more hours as necessary
  • Ability to stoop, bend or lean several times during a scheduled work shift;   
  • Ability to drive for two (2) or more hours uninterrupted 
  • Ability to enter/exit the patrol vehicle safely numerous times during a scheduled work shift 
  • Ability to stand for two (2) or more hours uninterrupted  
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds for up to 25 feet
  • Safely lift and carry twenty (20) pounds for one hundred (100) feet on sloped terrain with various surfaces while maintaining balance and footing  
  • Safely walk on various terrain and surfaces while maintaining balance and footing
  • Safely scale or climb over a three (3) foot wall
  • Safely carry, utilize and perform simple tasks requiring a four (4) foot ladder 
  • Ability to hold or otherwise carry a flashlight, Knox key/key, Entry Slip book, radio/phone, pager, etc., while walking on various surfaces;
  • Ability to lock/unlock doors or gates as necessary
