AARP Data Analytics Intern Salary in the United States

The AARP Data Analytics and Performance Management group is looking for a strong undergraduate or graduate student to join the Advanced Analytics team as a summer intern. Our ideal candidate has strong analytical and programming skills, experience with data visualization, problem-solving abilities, communicates well, and interprets results to a non-technical audience.  

Work with big data to analyze membership trends, engagement, and customer experience to solve complex business problems

• Analyze large volumes of data using analytical and statistical methods to drive member insights
• Utilize existing A/B test framework to measure impact of internal membership campaigns by analyzing cross channel member engagement and behavior
• Visualize data insights for analytical reporting and presentation
• Assist in the automation of routine data processes, dashboard visualizations, and end report distribution.
• Present and document methodology and results to internal analytics leadership team.

Prospective interns must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Business, Computer Science, Decision Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics)

• Prior experience with programming languages for data or statistical analysis is required.
• Exposure to analytical & data science tools like Python, R, Scala, SQL, SAS is preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau for analytical reporting and presentation.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and perform data analysis to drive business decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superior presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and open to learning new tools or techniques
