AARP's Legal Counsel for the Elderly champions the dignity and rights of vulnerable Washington, D.C. seniors 60-plus, providing free legal and social work services to those in need - empowering, defending, protecting, and helping thousands of clients each year in many areas of civil law.
The Project Analyst organizes and implements the Legal Counsel for the Elderly's (LCE) Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) project, a federal grant-funded project to educate the public on how to identify and report Medicare and Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse. Serves as an LCE subject area expert on Medicare. Represents the LCE's SMP in collaborative partnerships with external organizations;in both the public and private sectors. Plans and coordinates day-to-day activities and outreach with project staff to achieve project goals. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to improve project performance and perform a range of duties depending on designated operational assignments.
