Working under direct supervision, produces printed and on-line product labeling using a variety of common desktop publishing software programs. Provides production-artist support for translation projects. Maintains departmental project files in compliance with requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Collaborates with technical publications personnel in developing, implementing, and revising document design templates.
Produces artwork and output for printed materials using various computer-based desktop publishing programs in compliance with requirements.
Converts electronic files from DTP applications to PDF and/or HTML.
Page-proofs English and translated manuals to ensure that the formatting is correct and that the content of translations matches the source document.
Scans, converts, and edits vector and bitmap images using standard graphic and image-editing applications.
Maintains electronic and hard-copy files of projects generated within the department in compliance with GMP requirements.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. Works with standard office equipment such as telephone, cellular phone, fax/copier, and a personal computer with standard office software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING
Required
High school diploma or other specialized training/equivalent related experience.
Typically, a minimum of 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in multi-platform computer publishing, the ability to quickly learn new application software, expert competence in English spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Must possess advanced personal computer skills, including thorough experience with Microsoft Office (together with Excel and Word), FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, or equivalent applications.
Preferred
Expert keyboard and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Possesses a broad working knowledge of company products and the FDA and international requirements for manual publication.
Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
