Description:
The National Wholesale Executive is responsible for the management of and contracting with regional wholesalers for the entirety of AbbVie’s product portfolio. The National Wholesale Executive manages the supply chain through continuous intervention with wholesaler partners, through Distribution Service Agreements and customer-wide/customer specific allocations, which are crucial to AbbVie’s financial and operational success, monitor inventory builds and stabilization of earnings. The National Wholesale Executive also reports to a National Wholesale Director and will partner with him or her on managing the specialty distribution and direct/drop ship distribution AbbVie products for one of the Big Three wholesale customer accounts. Additionally, the National Wholesale Executive models the U.S. Market Access’ Ambitious Cultural Vision, key leadership competencies and the broader AbbVie Ways We Work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the supply chain through continuous intervention with wholesaler partners, through Distribution Service Agreements and customer-wide/customer specific allocations, which are crucial to AbbVie’s financial and operational success, monitor inventory builds and stabilization of earnings
- Knowledgeable and experienced in supply chain business trends including wholesaler fee-for-service agreements, pedigree legislation, track and trace technology, serialization, cold chain handling, and emergency preparedness, crisis planning
- Ability to lead integrated, multi-functional teams effectively in the development and execution of supply chain strategies and tactics that support product availability, patient access, and product sales while minimizing financial exposure
- Evaluate inventory transition data and coordinate with appropriate wholesaler divisions to maintain sufficient portfolio inventory levels to support services levels and avoid product stockouts
- Coordinate with demand planning and wholesaler buying groups/leadership regarding product allocation and adjustments to stabilize inventory demand and assure product access to meet patient needs.
- Manage the “Order to Revenue” cycle to ensure product availability and financial accountability including order processing, distribution, chargebacks, credit and collection, damages and returns, and off-cycle orders
- Host performance package reviews with customers to ensure contract performance compliance against Days On Hand, stable purchase, service level, data compliance and LDN network compliance and make necessary changes and implement action items
- Negotiate and execute DSA amendments to meet product distribution performance metric objectives

QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Superior business acumen and planning skills with minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
- Supply Chain experience (retail, pharmacy, wholesale, OTC) preferred
- Travel requirement: 50%
- Live anywhere in the United States
