ABERDEEN SCHOOL DISTRICT Computer Lunch Operator Salary in the United States

Salary Range:

  $10.48 per hour, without benefits

Hours:
   10:30 a.m. -  12:30 p.m. 

Experience:     Job related experience is desired.  Computer and cashier experience preferred.
Education:       No specific education level is required.
Certificates:     Valid Driver’s License
Continuing Educ./Training:    As prescribed by District for NSLP, NSBP, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines
Clearances:      Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Essential Functions

• Accurately maintain cash box.
• Account for meal sales, daily record sheets and daily deposits from sales using computerized lunch payment system.
• Receive payment for cash sales.
• Maintain discipline of students during computer transactions.
• Assist setting up and taking down serving line and computer cart.
• Cleans computer and cart for the purpose of maintaining sanitary conditions and meeting health and safety requirements.
• Monitors students in the lunchroom/cafeteria for the purpose of meeting health requirements and/or providing a safe and supportive environment.
• Oversees students for the purpose of meal payments and PTA borrow transactions.
• Perform other related duties which may be assigned by the Director of Food Services.

SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.  Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:  adhering to safety practices; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and using pertinent software applications.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math; read and follow instructions; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions.  Specific Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job.
ABILITY is required to use basic, job-related equipment.  Flexibility is required to work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using defined methods.  Ability is also required to work with others.  Problem solving with data requires following prescribed guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited.  Specific Ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:  adapting to changing work priorities; setting priorities; communicating with diverse groups; working around children; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and working as part of a team.

Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands:  lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity.  Generally the job requires 0% sitting, 50% walking, and 50% standing.  The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
