Description

FUNCTION:

The Community Inclusion Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of Community Inclusion Professionals. The Community Inclusion Manager is expected to train, monitor, schedule, and facilitate the administration of staffing. The Community Inclusion Manager is responsible for integrating individuals with disabilities into the community to participate in work recreational, leisure, and volunteer activities. The Community Inclusion Manager will work with individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their goals based on their individual preferences and abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides direct day to day supervision to Community Inclusion Professionals, Program Specialists, Assistant Managers, and other designated Vocational staff. Monitors staff training and ensure that all staff has the skills and knowledge needed to provide support to assigned individuals. Completes evaluations for all assigned staff.
  2. Organizes and participates in individual planning processes to define a community-building focus for people supported and ensure the plan is meaningful and beneficial to the person.
  3. Build relationships within the community to promote community inclusion opportunities for individuals in the program.
  4. Plan, prepare and implement recreational, work, and volunteer activities. Oversees the planning and scheduling of daily activities and group assignments. Schedules staff to ensure the delivery of approved supports and services.
  5. Manage the needs of individuals in the program within the scheduled activities to ensure that individuals are receiving appropriate, person-centered, community-integrated and individualized supports.
  6. Maintain a healthy balance between supporting people’s health and safety and their self-determination.
  7. Conducts program observations to ensure that supports provided are Person-Centered and in accordance with the specified plan for each individual.
  8. Responsible for ensuring that documentation is completed in a timely fashion and accurate.
  9. Performs job assignments, with attention to and in compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Agency mandated regulations mission, values, and ethics, with a positive attitude and in cooperation with others both inside and outside the Agency.
  10. Provides transportation to different community locations in a safe manner and maintains vehicles in a safe, clean and fully equipped condition.
  11. Ensures that the physical plant is maintained in order to promote a safe environment for all.
  12. Recommends expenditure levels on discretionary budget lines and control expenditures on those lines. Makes budget projections.
  13. Works as a Community Inclusion Professional as necessary.
  14. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or related field plus 3 years of experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supervisory experience preferred. Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills required. Satisfactory Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances required. Valid PA Driver’s License preferred.
