FUNCTION:
The Community Living Specialist is responsible for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position works with assigned staff to support People’s outcomes. Together with each Person, their family and other team members, assist in charting a course that supports each person in realizing their goals and dreams and achieving an everyday life that is important to them. Responsible to ensure compliance in the regulatory, internal and external policies and mandates as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, including one year as a supervisor or an associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, including one year as a supervisor.
Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal and planning skills required. Satisfactory Act 33 and 34 clearances and FBI as required. Valid license to drive in the State of Pennsylvania and properly insured vehicle.
