AVERHEALTH LC-MS/MS Technician Salary in the United States

We have an exciting opportunity for a LC-MS/MS Technician within our Averhealth business located at St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will prepare specimens for routine drug testing following the laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures. The LC-MS/MS Technician I will also interface with analytical instruments (LC/MS/MS and GC/MS) and the ability to work safely with instruments/equipment, chemicals, and biological samples is necessary.

• Pay:  $18/hr 
• Full Time: (35-45 hours/week) 10:30 am to 6:30 pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Interfaces with analytical instruments (LC/MS/MS and GC/MS)
• Review data generated by LC-MS/MS instrumentation and report results
• Provide legal testimony as needed
• Assist with training new staff on sample preparation, LC-MS/MS operation, and data review
• Assist with method development of toxicology drugs of abuse on an LC
• MS/MS instrument including the sample preparation and validation per CLIA guidelines
• Adhere to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information
• Adhere to all established guidelines outlined in Averhealth Employee Guidebook
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent relevant field required
• 1+ years’ experience operating and reviewing data for an LC-MS/MS instrument. ABSciex experience preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in a biological laboratory environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS is an added advantage.
