Description

Join us as a Benefits Administrator – Leaves position where you will provide oversight and support of all employee benefit programs with a primary focus in FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD and Worker’s Compensation.

Pay: Salaried position.

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00

Work location: Portsmouth NH

The Day to Day:

  • Administer and track Family and Medical Leave Requests and Leave of Absences.
  • Process letters and documentation to employees requesting any type of leave of absence and ensuring their eligibility. 
  • Input related data into HRIS for tracking purposes, including LWOP and COVID-19 requests.
  • Track FMLA time to ensure employees don’t exceed the 480 hour limit.
  • Prepare and process Worker’s Compensation claims with both domestic and international insurance carriers.
  • Administer annual census for Worker’s Compensation Insurance Carriers regarding renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state mandated leave related laws.
  • Temporarily assist with triaging COVID-19 related questions and concerns by responding to employees and managers over the phone or via email.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power point, and various web-based applications required. 
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and make informed recommendations and decisions.
  • Four-year college degree preferred in Human Resources, Business or a related subject matter or equivalent job experience.
  • Five or more years related experience in Human Resources, specializing in Leaves of Absences.
  • Human Resources certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for up to 2 hours daily.
  • Ability to use computers for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to other work locations as required.
