Job Description for Dietitian Manager

Dietitian Manager manages the staff that plans, prepares, and delivers meals to patients. Consults and coordinates with dietitians to ensure all menus comply with general dietetic standards and accurately fulfill prescribed nutrition plans. Being a Dietitian Manager monitors intake and acceptance of meals, snacks, and supplements. Monitors and ensures proper nutrition education is provided. Additionally, Dietitian Manager manages all food service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Dietitian Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Dietitian Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
