Capitan Corporation was established in 1988 to provide cased hole wireline services for the greater Permian Basin area. Billy Perkins, president and owner, was raised in the wireline business. His father started Apache Services in 1973 when Billy was just twelve years old. He worked in the company along side his father through high school. Upon graduating, he enrolled at Texas A & M University. Billy graduated from Texas A & M University in 1984 with a petroleum engineering degree. He returned to West Texas and rejoined Apache Services until the business closed in 1986. Determined to succeed in a harsh economic environment, Billy started Capitan Corporation in 1988 with one truck. With humble beginnings, Capitan has grown to a four truck operation with 12 dedicated employees. We look forward to serving you for years to come.
