About RED STEP STUDIO
Red Step Studio was founded by Paula Gill in 1999. Inspired by her garden and its resident birds, this Northwest artist creates one-of-a-kind tiles using woodcarving tools, paintbrushes, a hand operated slab roller and an electric kiln in a thirty step, six to eight week process. This labor intensive technique adds unrivalled depth, texture and liveliness not replicated by tile mold-making methods
