An important outreach service we offer is to open up the library to visiting high school and middle school students and invite them to use our collections and resources. These are often my favorite days because of the "gee whiz" factor we get from visitors who must suddenly navigate (what seems to them) a large library. We have been honored in the last two years by the National History Day of Iowa
