As a sign of the company's appreciation for the hard work carried out by employees, all full-time staff members at IST METZ GmbH received an iPad mini just before Christmas. These early Christmas gifts were handed out by Christian Metz, Head of IT & Processes at IST METZ and grandson of company founder Gerhard Metz, on 19 December during a special ceremony. On 20 December, there was an additional gift for 22 of the approximately 450 employees at the company's headquarters in Nürtingen, presented during the Christmas party held in Inselhalle at Nürtingen-Zizishausen. These employees were thanked for their long-standing service to the company, which ranged from 10 to 30 years. Each employee was presented with a gift basket from Managing Director Dirk Jgers and Helmut Böhm.
