Our client is currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Manager for their growing state of the art chemical facility located near Baton Rouge with multiple operating units none older than 12 years. Salary: $140-175k The position will report to Engineering Manager along with other degreed engineers, and the Design Manager. The primary responsibility is to manage all E&I elements for capital projects from engineering to commissioning within the budget and schedule, and according to internal expectations. Direct reports for this position may include electrical engineer, instrumentation engineer, instrumentation technicians, DCS specialists, electrical designers, and instrument designers. Some are direct employees, and some are contract employees. The requirements for the position include a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 15 years of applicable experience. SUMMARY: Our client is currently seeking a Lead Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician. The Lead (I&E) Technician's duties include working with process engineers to develop construction schedules and design data for instrumentation and electrical equipment required for new capital projects. This includes leading a team of 3-5 other I&E Technicians in the development of project data and coordinating their activities with process/project engineers and I&E designers. The Lead (I&E) Technician will also direct the start-up of instrumentation and electrical equipment for chemical processes in the plant and maintain all design, purchase, and calibration documentation.
